More than three hundred guests took part in the 2012 Gala, Soaring to New Heights, co-chaired by Ernie Smith and Mary K. Fischer, on April 19 at the Sheraton Universal.  Mitch Gluchow of Valley Motor Center received the Partner for Independence Award and Jonathan Murray of Bunim/Murray Productions received the Dignity, Love and Compassion Award.  Pat Harvey from CBS-2 served as the emcee, and in talk-show format, interviewed various New Horizons guests, clients and honorees as part of the  “Soaring to New Heights” show. 

New Horizons’ client Malissa Moreno performed the song Butterfly by Miley Cyrus, and the Brite Lites Dancers got everyone up out of their seats.  Galpin Motors Vice President Beau Boeckmann rallied the crowd to  bid on exciting auction items.  Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success, and to our wonderful sponsors and friends who helped New Horizons Soar to New Heights, including:  Platinum Sponsor Julie Kavner;  Gold Sponsors Galpin Motors, Fred & Sue Weitkamp and Wells Fargo;  and Silver Sponsors Boston Private Bank & Trust, Clay Lacy Aviation and Lifetime.
