Travel Training Coordinator
This person will schedule and coordinate travel trainers who
will instruct program participants on how to navigate public transportation. The person will provide training at times and assess
eligibility for the program. Exposure to travel training is
required. Past experience in program coordination is helpful. One
full-time and one part-time position are available.
This person will be responsible for one-on-one and
small-group travel training and support to eligible Travel Training Program
participants. Training and instruction will include bus rules and
regulations, appropriate public behavior, safety skills, and landmark
identification. Detailed record-keeping is necessary. Experience
with travel training and interacting with individuals with special needs or
seniors required. Travel trainers will not be required to have a driver
license. One full-time and one part-time position are available.
Part-time available immediately; varied work
schedules which may include 6am-9am, M-F; 3pm-11pm, M-F, first or second shifts
on Saturdays and Sundays, or others.
Some flexibility needed if willing to fill in as substitutes when
absences occur. Assist residents to
succeed in a residential home by teaching them personal living skills, and
joining them in group activities. No experience necessary and will train
the right candidate. Group home experience or home health aide experience
is a plus. The wage is $8.25/hr. with
capability to increase. Additional
requirements are: have the ability and enthusiasm to drive a large van for
community outings; ability to pass a criminal background check; and be
comfortable with all aspects of adult hygiene.
Seeking self-starter to be a Life Skills Instructor in our Supported Living Program. Several positions are
available and the different shifts will cover hours during the week or during
the weekend – some flexibility needed. The wage is $8.25/hr. You will assist an individual with
developmental disabilities with their basic self-help skills, and oversee and
participate in basic housekeeping and meal preparation duties. Additional requirements are: ability to pass
a criminal background check; and have access to a car.
Seeking a part-time Job Coach who provides instruction,
coaching, assistance, support, and advocacy needed by individuals with
developmental disabilities (consumers) to successfully work in a community job
setting. The wage is $8.50/hr. Additional
requirements for this position are: must have good organizational skills;
flexibility to work varied hours including some evenings and weekends; and computer
